Trivia[]

  • One of the three rides that can utilize "Hold Brakes" - A single cell track section that stops the train and starts it again. The other two rides are the Floorless coaster and the Wing coaster.
  • Ride has the highest capacity of all rides in the game. Like all roller coasters, if there are enough stations on the track the ride can have up to five separate trains. Each train can have up to seven cars fitting 42 passengers, having a maximum capacity of 210 guests at a time.
  • When the ride was released, originally it was not possible to use the "Large, Wide loops" as the hit box of the ride did not allow the placement of the element. This was changed shortly after release.
  • The ride uses an almost identical track style to the Wing coaster, which both have a similar track style to the Floorless coaster although the Wing coaster and Dive coaster's track has a slightly wider gauge than the Floorless coaster.
  • The ride is also one of the two roller coasters that uses the "Looping Large, Wide", a variant of the "Looping Large" used by other roller coasters specifically designed to fit with the extra wide hit box of the Wing and Dive coasters.
  • modeled after an B&M dive coaster

Real life Inspiration[]

The Dive coaster in game is based off the real life Dive Coaster, Roller Coaster style. This type of roller coaster is characterized by the use of a "Diving Element" where the roller Coaster is momentarily halted before a drop. The drop can reach between 85 and 100 degrees of negative pitch. Generally these rides are short and include extensive amount of pre-ride entertainment and story telling, with the actual roller coaster being the final element in a multi part story guests experience while waiting for the ride.
